They say butterflies are best when they are flying around beautifully in the garden. Well, often they also rule your tresses as cute or chic hair accessories. But when they reach your eyes, it’s another ball game!
The concept of butterfly eye makeup isn’t new and was huge back in the ‘90s, but Hailey Bieber in a two-toned winged liner with a butterfly drawn along her lower lash line and winged out to meet her top liner, brought it back to our notice. She took the world by storm and since then, people are donning similar eye makeup – with some literally drawing detailed wings onto their faces. While for some it is all about those fairy vibes and they wear it big and bold, others prefer a subtler and less dramatic way to keep up with the trend.

Multi-Tones: While you can keep it two-toned for a mild look, multi-toning is catching up big time for a night of partying! It keeps the drama alive!
Sassy Summertime: The butterfly eyeliner trend is perfect for summer. Go for summery pastel shades. Icy lavenders and purples hit bullseye!
Go Black & Blue For Nights Out: If you love making a statement through your makeup, recreate the Y2K days with an edgy, grungy bold black or blue. Highlight the sides by packing in some sizzling highlighter on the innermost corners.
Mystical Monochrome: In case black is your all-time favourite, there are endless ways to still showcase those butterfly wings… Go monochromatic with a brighter hue, and then throw in a small rhinestone to up the glam quotient.
