The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presents The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars. It extended an invitation to 397 artists and others to join the organisation in 2022.
Interestingly, actor #Suriya from #Kollywood, is among the invitees to join The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Actor Suriya becomes the first Tamil actor to be invited to become a member of The Academy.
It’s another feather in the cap for actor Suriya, who is riding high on the success of his cameo appearance in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ as Rolex. He is one of the most prominent actors and producers of Tamil cinema and his film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ was India’s official entry to the Oscars 2021. The actor is also known across the world for producing and acting in the critically acclaimed ‘Jai Bhim’.
